Every discovery begins with uncertainty. Before there are names, classifications, or explanations, there are only observations hastily recorded before the moment disappears. These sketches are not conclusions but questions, fragments of evidence gathered in an attempt to understand something never encountered before.
The unfinished nature of the work is intentional. It preserves the earliest stage of discovery, when curiosity leads observation and certainty remains just beyond reach. In that space between seeing and knowing, every mark becomes the beginning of a new understanding.
