Field Notes: Survey, 40x30

$1,200.00

Before a place can be understood, it must first be observed. Field Notes: Survey imagines the first encounter with an unfamiliar environment: looking closely, taking inventory, noticing repetitions, anomalies, structures and signs of life without yet knowing what any of them mean.

The overlapping lines read like observations recorded faster than they can be organized. Some lead somewhere. Others disappear or contradict what came before. The work captures that early stage of discovery when the goal is not yet to explain what has been found, but simply to pay enough attention to begin seeing it.

40 inches height by 30 inches width acrylic on canvas.

Note: This piece is currently on display at Washburn Lofts between August 15, 2026 and February 15, 2027. If you would like to procure this art, contact me to .
